We are currently in search of a Portfolio Account Specialist to join our team. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this role will involve strategically overseeing a Neuroscience portfolio in SA.

As a Portfolio Account Specialist, you will be tasked with fostering partnerships within the healthcare ecosystem to drive value for the healthcare system, patients, and Novartis. We are specifically interested in candidates who embody a growth mindset, a competitive drive, and a readiness to take calculated risks.

  • Drive sales and advocate for the product portfolio within identified key accounts to meet commercial targets.
  • Formulate detailed account and territory plans based on insights.
  • Implement a customer engagement strategy and account action plan.
  • Cultivate relationships with key customers to uncover growth opportunities and address obstacles.
  • Gain a profound understanding of the market, customers, patient journey, competitive dynamics, and brand impact on healthcare.
  • Facilitate collaborative solutions with multiple stakeholders centered on patients.
  • Prioritize customers and strategies based on potential and business goals, offering customer insights to the cross-functional team and assisting in solution development.
  • Organize and conduct speaker meetings in adherence to governance regulations.
  • Collaborate with Agile teams to execute essential tactics.
  • Engage with key customers regularly and review stakeholder mapping consistently.
  • Accurately document interactions in the CRM system.
Your Experience:
  • In-depth knowledge of the local healthcare system.
  • Proficiency in key account management and strategic planning.
  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical sales.
  • Ability to interpret clinical data.
  • Resilience under pressure and influencing cross-functional teams effectively without direct authority.
  • Capability to navigate intricate healthcare environments, demonstrating strong prioritization and adaptability to changing circumstances.
  • Skills in influencing, negotiating, and solution-oriented selling through dynamic questioning.
  • Experience in enhancing customer experience across diverse engagement channels.
  • Effective presentation abilities.
  • Curiosity, ability to learn quickly, and strong communication skills.
  • Effective time management skills to manage multiple concurrent projects.
