A dynamic State Government department is seeking an Assistant Director, Procurement and Contracts to provide develop and manage procurement activities reporting to the Director. The successful Assistant Director will be offered an initial 6-month contract with the view to extend, based in Canberra.
The successful Assistant Director, Procurement and Contracts will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Manage procurement timeframes and risks
- Promote and apply procurement framework
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
The successful Assistant Director, Procurement and Contracts will have experience in the following:
- Demonstrated understanding of procurement and contract management policies, procedures and frameworks
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to liaise and negotiate with a range of stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a face paced environment
- Relevant qualifications would be highly regarded
