About the role

Working under the guidance of the Head of Logistics, the role involves overseeing National Jet Express Logistics Department, mentoring the Logistics Officers team, and supporting the Head of Logistics. The key responsibility is to ensure the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of procurement and purchasing operations.

Duties include:

  • Act as Deputy for the Head of Logistics when necessary
  • Coordinate critical logistics/procurement tasks to minimize fleet downtime
  • Manage AOG functions
  • Resolve invoice issues promptly
  • Authorize Orders and Invoices within Company DoA
  • Lead Maintenance Planning meetings for optimal spare parts availability
  • Ensure all aeronautical products come with necessary documentation
  • Review stock usage and suggest improvements
  • Follow up on orders and update delivery statuses
  • Report delays to the Head of Logistics
  • Mentor the Logistics Officers team
  • Value safety and actively contribute to safety programs

About you

Required qualifications include extensive experience in logistics, supply chain, and procurement, with a focus on customer service and stakeholder management.

  • Quick learner with strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work within a team

Educational/Vocational Skills (Desirable)

  • Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle
  • Experience with RAMCO is a plus
  • Prior aviation procurement experience
