About the role
The
Head of Property, Contracts and Procurement at Activ reports to the
Chief Financial Officer.

This position is responsible for managing Activ's large and complex property portfolio and leading and directing the effective negotiation and management of commercial and funding body contracts, including monitoring contractual obligations.

This role ensures professional and effective overall solutions, policy development, contracts, and procurement management.

A typical day in the role may look like

  • Translating the broad property strategy of Activ into tangible action for the property team to deliver
  • Providing strategic advice to Activ's Executive on property and contracts
  • Strategic planning and implementation in relation to contracts and procurement management
  • Running expression of interest processes and negotiating with external providers regarding material contracts to realise procurement savings
  • External stakeholder management, including building networks to assist Activ in achieving its business goal and strategy
  • Lead partnering with various stakeholders within Activ to ensure good practice in contract, procurement and property and fleet management to support a commercially sustainable organisation
  • Leading and implementing frameworks for good practice compliance, risk and governance as relates to the function across Activ


You are an innovative leader who can think laterally and is open to alternative possibilities while providing a holistic view across the organisation.

With extensive senior management experience relating to property management, negotiation, management and compliance of contracts, and organisational procurement, you will utilise your commercial acumen to drive profitable outcomes and organisational stability.


Using your well-developed communication, negotiating, and problem-solving skills, you will demonstrate your ability to gain cooperation from multiple stakeholders and drive continuous improvement efforts with your team.

You will have a Tertiary qualification in Business Management, a related discipline or equivalent experience.
