Our client is a large NSW Government Organisation who are seeking Program and Change Manager to join their team.


As the Program and Change Manager you will be responsible for developing a strategic change and engagement framework whilst overseeing the production and delivery of change and engagement activities.

You will also be responsible for working collaboratively with Business Leads across the Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and design the program and proactively monitor its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective actions
  • Develop, implement and coordinate the Change and Engagement Strategy/Framework and related Change and Stakeholder Engagement Plans for the Information Management Program
  • Build key strategic relationships across the Department to ensure the Program is informed by and meeting changing business area expectations
  • Ensure project schedules are developed, updated, monitored and managed in line with the business case expectations, for all phases of the project, and that project schedule milestones are defined, measured, managed and met; and
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting on project status, including Key Performance Indicators, cost, schedule, risk etc against the Project Management Plan
  • Design, implement and coordinate proactive change and engagement activities to support the Program's and operational priorities and to support the communication of key messages relating to project initiatives, impacts and delivery
  • Manage change to achieve Benefits Realisation
  • Monitor and manage the change and engagement performance of the Program, addressing issues in a timely manner to maximise outcomes
  • Measure progress and outcomes against an established baseline to identify communication and knowledge gaps and resistance and identify risks and provide solutions to effectively address critical issues
  • Actively and professionally engage with impacted employees and managers, seeking out expert advice to resolve issues in a timely manner

Selection Criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in strategic organisational development practice with a good understanding of project and change management principles, methodologies and tools.
  • Proven project management experience, delivering large and multifaceted projects, is essential
  • Proven leadership/ senior management experience is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrable ability to thrive and influence in a highly collaborative environment is essential
  • Experience in designing and implementing medium to large scale organisational change projects across complex business areas.
  • Strong analytical skills with astute attention to detail
  • Good written and oral communications skills
  • Demonstrated effective stakeholder management, influencing and dispute resolution skills
