This position provides the opportunity for an enthusiastic, skilled and dedicated individual to lead a unique educational / recreational facility.

Predominately Broome Camp School services the communities of the Kimberley Region and provides the opportunity for students to engage in meaningful activities linked to the system, regional and school priorities. The Camp School Managers role is pivotal in maintaining the high standard of service provision for students and schools as well as continually exploring the opportunities to support existing curriculum offerings within the region

The Role and our Branch

Suitable applicants will manage the administration of the camp school, including staff, finances, assets, resources, buildings and grounds. This role will require applicants to develop educational programs that support the school curriculum and are relevant and suitable to the location of the camp school and its environment.

As a Camp School Manager, suitable applicants will liaise with stakeholders to plan, design and implement educational programs of specific interest required by particular groups. It will be their responsibility to visit and assess the suitability of places of interest for inclusion into educational programs.

A key component of the role is the ability to adopt management processes to maximise effective use of the camp school facilities and resources to achieve self-funding where possible. In addition, Camp School Managers supervise the arrival and dispersal of groups and ensure satisfactory discipline and behaviour standards are maintained.

1. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the development and provision of experiential learning programs that support an outcome focused approach to teaching and learning in an educational environment.
4. Demonstrated well developed financial management skills, including budget preparation and the ability to interpret and apply financial and accounting practices and procedures.
5. Demonstrated high-level oral, written and interpersonal communication skills suitable for a range of specific purposes and audiences, including the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels and build good working relationships.
