Project Description

An exciting opportunity awaits for a Senior Business Analyst to become part of the team at a prominent Australian Financial institution. Join in the analysis, design, and upgrading of their OTC derivative clearing Platform. This role involves playing a vital part in enhancing existing clearing risk management solutions and boosting business process efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Assess new concepts against current systems and procedures
  • Analyze stakeholder needs comprehensively
  • Engage with internal and external clients using various facilitation techniques
  • Provide high-quality business analysis artifacts
  • Perform deep dives into derivative clearing systems
  • Liaise with Product Owners and Subject Matter Experts
  • Define transitions of business processes
  • Elicit, prepare, and generate business requirements
  • Use formal modeling techniques to represent requirements
  • Collaborate with internal project teams
  • Contribute to the Test Strategy
  • Liaise with IT solution providers
  • Assume cross-functional roles when necessary
  • Ensure smooth implementation and transition
  • Contribute to change management activities
  • Provide peer review of analysis artifacts
  • Participate in the BA Community of Practice
  • Support and mentor junior team members

Skills

Must Have:

  • Capital Markets Experience
  • Data mapping/transformation/ETL experience
  • 7+ years of business analysis experience
  • Experience in Agile, Lean, and Waterfall projects
  • Proficiency in business analysis fundamentals
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in stakeholder needs analysis
  • Proficiency in business process modeling tools and Atlassian suite
  • Ability to work within a matrix structure
  • Experience in Change Management and agile ways of working
