We currently have a full-time permanent role for an experienced
Regional Safety Business Partner to join the Group Safety team where you will focus on governance, risk, safety and compliance for the NRMA Parks and Resorts portfolio.


In this role, you will be responsible for minimising risk across the business to ensure compliance with Work Health, Safety and Environmental statutory obligations, Park Management contracts, leases, licenses and permits to ensure all requirements are being met.

A key deliverable includes the development, implementation and continuous improvement of procedures and systems to ensure compliance and best practice within the NRMA Group Safety Management system.


You will be required to travel on a regular basis to liaise with Park Managers, resolve issues, perform park inspections and provide on-site training to new Park Managers.

You may also be required at times to take after-hours calls to support the Leadership team and on-site Managers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage WHSE, risk and compliance functions for NRMA Parks and Resorts including ensuring Park's compliance with WHS Laws and NRMA Group Policy
  • Implement risk minimisation and compliance strategies together with recommending costeffective risk minimisation strategies and action to the NRMA Group Safety team
  • Maintain, manage and continuously improve the NRMA Parks and Resorts safety, environment, risk management and compliance systems
  • Develop training needs analysis for holiday park operational staff as well review and develop Health and Safety training material including online training modules, Standard Operating and Safe Work Procedures
  • Facilitate onsite WHSE training for new management teams at NRMA Parks and Resorts Training Park and individual parks as required
  • Provide technical expert WHSE advice to staff and parks as required
  • Maintain, review and audit NRMA's Parks and Resorts incident and hazard register, selfassessment, scheduled tasks and audit functions
  • Emergency and crisis management
  • Identify, provide advice, report and followup on compliance related business risks
  • Manage public liability injury and investigations
  • Annually review the Operational Plans in consultation with NRMA Parks and Resorts Operations team
  • Undertake Annual HSE systems audits including AS4801, ISO45001 and conduct or facilitate annual onsite safety inspection of each Holiday Park
  • Undertake various project work as delegated by the COO or NRMA Group Safety Staff such as the preparation of reports and submissions including tenders, planning approvals, technical reviews, external reporting and other Corporate reports prepared on behalf of NRMA Parks and Resorts
  • Support and promote NRMA Parks and Resorts positive Safety Culture by developing and implementing userfriendly systems and procedures.

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum of 5 years' WHSE, Compliance and Risk Management working in a multiple discipline management model
  • Experience in the holiday park or hospitality industry (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience in developing and implementing WHSE, risk & compliance management systems
  • Demonstrated experience in the interpretation and implementation of policies, procedures, operational plans and contracts
  • Ability to conduct workplace audits and risk management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and negotiate
  • Highly developed analytical and written communication skills and ability to write technical reports and corporate submissions at an Executive level
  • Experience in developing & conducting training and inductions
  • High level problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to prepare complex technical advice and recommendations.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes
  • Ability to train and motivate managers to achieve their contractual obligations in relation to WHSE and compliance.
  • Effectively implement change management in a growth organisation.
