We are seeking a Governance Officer to join our team on a Temporary Full-Time basis. The role will be based in our Sydney Olympic Park Head Office with hybrid working arrangements. This opportunity will commence as soon as possible for a two-year term.

About the role


The Governance officer assists in developing, embedding, and aligning risk management and governance practices that support delivery of the Office of Sport Strategic plan.


As part of this diverse role you will assist with coordinating actions to support the functions of the Audit, Risk & Governance unit and assist in the ongoing maintenance, development and implementation of appropriate systems and frameworks to support robust corporate governance arrangements.

You will have input to all aspects of risk management of the organisation. You will support the delivery of the internal audit program, risk management activities, regulatory compliance and policy.

You will also provide program management support and provide support collecting, assessing and reporting with data. This will require working effectively with stakeholders across the business to ensure deliverables are met.

About you


You will have the ability to support the administration of effective governance in an environment with a high volume and variety of tasks, competing priorities and tight deadlines.

You will have some demonstrated experience in one or more of the following disciplines:
risk management, audit, compliance or governance. You will have excellent people management and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels. You foster a positive customer experience, and you are technology savvy.
