At St Andrew's Roseville, we are responding to Jesus' command in Matthew 28:18-20 to be Growing Disciples of Jesus Christ.

As our Youth Ministry grows, we are looking for the right person to assist in championing this vision amongst the youth.

Roseville is in the heart of the North Shore of Sydney, next door to bustling Chatswood. However, Roseville has been able to hold onto its village feel.


St Andrew's ministry is growing with over 100 youth impacted by our youth ministry (The Friday Youth program called Revive, Sunday Bible studies, Scripture in Schools) we believe that there is real opportunity to extend our impact for the gospel - not only in Roseville, but the surrounding communities.


We are looking for a passionate and humble Assistant Youth Minister (part-time) to assist our Youth Minister in equipping and teaching our youth and youth leaders at our youth group, Revive.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who would be keen to commit to this role for a minimum of 2 years and there is potential for this position to grow into a full-time role in the future.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Weekly Tasks_
  • Attend weekly staff meetings.
  • Assist in preparing and running of the Revive program on Sundays at 10:30am
  • Run SNR (Years prayer triplets on Sundays at 5:30pm6:15pm
  • Assist in preparing and running of the Revive program on Friday nights 5pm9pm
  • Meeting up with two Revive students to read the bible fortnightly
  • Assist with Revive admin
  • Teach one scripture class during the week
  • Attend and assist where necessary at the 6:30pm Sunday congregation.
  • Any other reasonable tasks as requested by the Youth Minister
  • Termly Tasks_
  • Occasionally preach at youth group
  • Disciple a youth leader
  • Run some elements of leader's meetings and oversee ministry while Youth Minister is unavailable.
  • In consultation with Youth Minister plan, write and prepare teaching series for a term
  • Assist in preparing and running evangelism and ministry socials each term
  • Yearly_
  • Attend youth leaders planning days, training and socials throughout the year.
  • Attend summer camp (5 days) and winter camp (3 days)
  • Attend Year 1012 conference (2 days)
  • Attend leadersintraining (Youthworks) if applicable
  • Assist Youth Minister in seeing the vision for Revive implemented
  • Attend yearly staff retreats
  • Have a love for the Lord Jesus Christ and a desire to see others become disciples and grow as disciples.
  • Be committed to prayer and to praying for and with others in the church.
  • Be willing to work as part of a staff team, under the leadership of the Youth Minister and the Senior Minister, but also autonomously and make decisions where necessary for the position.
  • Be committed to the church and sharing their lives with those within the church.
  • Be committed to personal godliness and being godly example to the church and wider community.


A remuneration package in line with the Anglican Diocese of Sydney Guidelines will be tailored to suit the skills, experience and qualifications of the successful applicant.


Ideally, they will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in youth ministry (as a leader or youth minister) and qualifications (or working towards qualifications) in ministry or theology.


A safe ministry check, and a completed safe ministry training certificate from the professional standards unit of the Anglican Diocese of Sydney will be required before commencement and must be maintained as current at all times.
