We are currently recruiting for a
Coordinator on a
full time basis, 38 hours per week to join our team at
YMCA Musgrave Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)


In this position, you will be the leader of the service responsible for the day-to-day running of the service and management of a team of Educators.

You will receive support from a dedicated management team, consisting of the other Coordinators, Senior Coordinator Area Coordinator, Regional Manager and the OSHC Manager.

YMCA Musgrave Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is located at Musgrave Hill State School and it is licenced for 75 children. The service offers before school care, after school care and vacation care.


We provide activities that develop each child's social, emotional, lingual, physical, intellectual and creative potential in a developmentally appropriate manner.

Activities are designed to ensure all children can participate in a positive and meaningful way including children with additional support needs and disabilities.

We provide opportunities for unstructured and quiet play, discussions and further research, appropriate to the age of each child.

Children can participate in group or individual activities, opt in and out of certain activities, select alternate activities, or even complete homework if the children through the request of their parent / care giver choose to do so.

Appropriate spaces and

supervision is provided to meet their needs at all times.

As an OSHC Coordinator you will assist with:

  • The development of quality programs;
  • Manage the day to day running of the programs;
  • Coordinate staffing and rostering of staff;
  • Ensure compliance with policy;
  • Undertake administrative requirements;
  • Work collaboratively with families and the school community.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • Completed (or close to completion) of relevant qualifications in Childcare or Teaching (Minimum of Diploma in Children Services);
  • Demonstrated experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcare;
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining effective administration and correct documentation in an OSHC service;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain;
  • Certificate of Suitability to work with Children and Young People (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain.
  • NQF knowledge would be advantageous.
