Responsibilities include:
- Delivering highquality teaching across our undergraduate and postgraduate journalism courses.
- Engaging in scholarly research activities, contributing to the field of journalism through research and industry partnerships.
- Enhancing our discipline's research culture with active contributions to journalism studies, especially in adapting journalism practices to new and emerging media platforms.
- Working collaboratively with the Journalism team, coordinating courses, academic advising, student selection, and other related duties.
To be successful in this position, you'll have:
- An in-depth knowledge of journalism and the ability to bridge between industry and scholarly research in the field.
- Ability to prepare and deliver courses at undergraduate and post-graduate levels, and to produce high-quality curriculum materials.
- Ability to undertake course coordination roles.
- Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs in journalism evidenced by publications, development of research initiatives and industry links.-
- Ability to build effective networks with industry as well as the academy and generate funded partnerships with industry and government.-
- Mandatory: PhD or equivalent in relevant field
