Join the Civmec Team
Civmec are currently seeking experienced Plant Operators to join our Construction team working on the Covalent Lithium Project located in Kwinana, 35km South of Perth. The scope of work covers a vast range of disciplines including structural and piping fabrication, SMP erection, refractory lining, insulation, and E&I installation works. We have roles commencing ASAP, with project completion expected in around December 2024.
The Role
- Conduct pre-start checks on plant and equipment, hand tools, tooling and equipment prior carrying out the task
- Preparing and positioning plant for operation
- Complete a challenge on the piece of plant that you hold the ticket
- Excavate or trim to Level using a Laser Level from a bench mark/RL
- Ability to work with spotter as a team to ensure that all excavations are in line with Drawings.
- Monitoring operation of plant and adjusting controls to regulate pressure, speed and flow of operation, and ensuring safety of other workers
- Raising, lowering and manipulating attachments using manual and hydraulic controls
- Capable of reading drawings and understand works
- Set out and mark excavation on ground from pegs set by surveyor
- Selecting, fitting and removing attachments such as buckets, winches, loading scoops, shovel blades and rock breaking hammers
- Operating controls to excavate, break, drill, level, compact, gouge out, move, load and spread earth, rock, rubble, soil and other materials
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
- HRWL – LF, EWP (Desirable)
- Telehandler Ticket
- Working at Heights ticket (Desirable)
- 3 years + Construction experience in the mining and resources sector
- Nationally Recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card
- Complete a Pre-Employment Medical, including Drug & Alcohol screening.
