We are now seeking a

Mining Engineer

to join our Underground Mining team based at the

Tropicana Gold Mine.
Accountable to the Alternate Underground Manager, this role is responsible

for maintaining an adequate supply of broken ore stocks by producing drill designs and blast plans.
This is a permanent FIFO role 8 days /6 off with direct flights from either Perth or Kalgoorlie.

Accountabilities:


Be an active safety leader in line with the company values, policies and proceduresCollaborate with contracting partners to ensure compliance to the mining planComplete stope drill designs, charge plans and reconciliations in line with the business requirementsEnsure production excellence by participating in QAQC activities for blastingComplete slot raising designs, remote plans and void management plans in line with site proceduresShow active field leadership through regular underground inspectionsProvide mentorship for graduatesTake lead in business objectives and projectsEnsure the health and safety of underground workers through detailed and accurate technical plans in line with the WHS Act and Regulations.

To be considered, we would like to see you have:

A degree in Mining EngineeringUnderground mine design software (Deswik) - desirableExperience with electronic blasting systems (DigiShot) - preferredPractical underground mining experienceExcellent communication and decision making skillsPrevious working knowledge of Microsoft Office softwareExisting and ongoing Permanent work rights in Australia (Mandatory)Current "C" class drivers licence (Manual)Hold a valid WA Dangerous Goods Security CardObtain a National Police ClearanceCulture and BenefitsOur workplace demonstrates dignity and respect for each other, we offer challenging work, highly competitive remuneration that is regularly adjusted to market conditions and career development opportunities.
