As a Site Reliability Engineer, this is your opportunity to utilize your SRE skills within a developer-centric, cross-functional, and newly formed Platform Engineering team. Your primary objective is to enhance the developer experience and accelerate value delivery through an inventive platform. Collaborating closely with Platform Engineers, Security Engineers, and DevOps Engineers, your contribution will be vital in achieving these goals.

- Run the production platform, including the cloud workloads and platform components.
- Monitor availability of cloud resources and infrastructure.
- Improve quality, reliability, and security posture of all platform-level applications.
- Measure and optimize performance.
- Take proactive actions to ensure incidents are minimized.
- Document every manual action taken for automation purposes.
- Help teams document Service-Level Objectives (SLOs).
- Ensure monitoring and alerts configured by software engineering teams are sufficient.
- Build and maintain software for resiliency in production systems using Chaos Engineering techniques.
- Design and promote modern solutions for software building and deployment in the 'cloud'.
- Support software engineering teams with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) configurations.
- Contribute a Site Reliability Engineer viewpoint to guide platform requirements and priority.
- Maintain documentation for self-service consumption by software engineers.
- You will:
- Hold a formal qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Have cloud computing platform certification (Azure preferred).
- Demonstrate experience in Site Reliability Engineering roles, with a focus on cloud native software engineering.
- Showcase experience of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services.
- Exhibit in-depth knowledge of cloud native architectures, microservices, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing.
- Exhibit in-depth knowledge of third-party monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, Datadog, Splunk).
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with software engineering teams.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems.
- Display familiarity with security and compliance best practices in cloud-based environments.
- Have proficiency with Linux CLI tools including Git & Docker.
- Be skilled in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Ruby, and others.
