Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager, Reliability Maintenance Engineering Job ID: | Amazon Commercial Services Pty Ltd We are looking to hire an experienced Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager to join the team at our Fulfillment Center (FC) in Lytton, Brisbane.
The Reliability Engineering Area Manager is the line manager for a team of engineering technicians.They maintain the focus on safety by training, developing and coaching their team.
Key job responsibilities- Deliver a high level of equipment availability by ensuring all preventative maintenance is conducted and internal processes and- Lead, support and mentor a Reliability, Maintenance and Engineering team, ensuring site operations are maintained in a safe, standard and efficient manner.- Work with the team and the wider network to harness the technical expertise available and build solutions.- Support the Reliability Engineering Manager as they work with the Site Safety department & Site Leadership to implement, record and audit safety and statutory compliance programs to provide a safe working environment for all staff.- Implement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to provide a high level of equipment availability to our internal customers.- Ensure sufficient technical coverage is available for the shifts they own by organizing and directing the training program for the team.- Manage local projects or support Australia wide projects as assigned by the manager.- Be prepared to work on shift to maintain a strong connection to the team and daily work.
A day in the life After safety, the most important part of the role is leading your team and managing their performance and development, including organising additional training.
You'll be based at one of our operational sites, which allows you to give practical guidance to your team and get a clear vision of what's happening at your site.
This involves collecting data and solving problems in a fast-paced environment.You'll also have a chance to create an operational plan to make the site more productive and efficient.
That will involve setting up new projects that improve everything from operational processes to equipment maintenance.
About the team Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering or RME team keep our equipment performing at its best.
We're a technically minded team, made up of excellent team players and guided by experienced leaders.
We work together to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment across our global network of fulfilment centres.
Some of our people are leaders, who oversee the team as they work on exciting technology – some of which only exists at Amazon.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Brisbane, QLD, AUSBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Relevant experience in managing people in an engineering team- Relevant experience as part of a maintenance team in an industrial or production environment that handles a variety of complex business processes- A degree in a technical discipline- Experience of automated equipment including packaging machinery, sortation and conveyor systems.- Excellent communications skills (written & verbal).- Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations.- Excellent computer skills (MS Office, CAD).- Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and 5 S basic knowledge.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Preferred qualifications are not required to apply for a position at Amazon.If you have all the basic qualifications above, we'd love to hear from you.- Experience of working with statutory regulations such as compliance checks and machine safety protocols- Experience in automated equipment, including packaging machinery, sortation and conveyor systems- Experience of using data analysis tools and PLC-based control systems- Experience with project management or Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma processes- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
