The Indian Ocean Territories Administration (IOTA) is looking for a dedicated and qualified individual to join as the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) in the Indian Ocean Territories Health Service (IOTHS) located on the Cocos (Keeling) Islands.

The IOTHS provides healthcare services in Christmas Island (CI) and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands (CKI), two of Australia's remote and stunning locations. The service includes a hospital on CI and clinics on Home and West Islands in the CKI, focusing on maintaining community health.

The Nurse Unit Manager will lead the IOTHS team on CKI to deliver high-quality health services in a remote and multicultural setting. This role involves managing resources effectively and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate should have advanced clinical skills, experience in Remote Area Nurse competencies, strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. They should also show dedication to professional development, improving health outcomes in a multicultural environment, and understanding of service delivery issues.

Prior experience in healthcare delivery, management, leadership in a multi-disciplinary setup, and knowledge of human and financial resource management are crucial.
