The Opportunity

We have a unique opportunity for a junior Solicitor to join our premier Band 1 Corporate Private Equity team based in Melbourne.

You will work closely with award-winning partners Andrew Clyne and Adam Charles, as well as leading senior lawyers across the group.

As a Solicitor, you will play a pivotal role in advising a diverse client base on a wide range of transactions and corporate matters. You will have the opportunity to contribute to high-profile M&A deals for private equity, corporate and other clients, including acting for financial investors (both sponsors and institutional investors) on infrastructure related transactions. You will gain broad exposure to private M&A, public market takeovers, joint ventures, and other transactions.

You will benefit from exceptional learning opportunities working on the most complex and interesting transactions in the market.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

An Australian or New Zealand practicing certificate, with approximately 1.5 – 3 years' legal experience at a top-tier, national, or mid-tier firm. Exposure within Public and/or Private M&A, Private Equity, Equity Capital Markets, and/or Corporate Advisory. A strong academic record, coupled with excellent legal skills and a practical mindset. Demonstrated ability to comprehend complex legal matters. A proactive approach and a desire to be an integral member of our leading and supportive team. The capability to work effectively within tight timeframes, both collaboratively and autonomously. A hunger to learn and develop and be part of maintaining a market-leading practice.
