About the role
For this role you must live in the local area of Roma as it is a small but lovely town where you will be provided with not only a supportive team but community as well Reporting directly to the owner of the business, you will have autonomy in this role and be provided with training & development opportunities.
Your success in this role will be determined by your attitude, work ethic and previous experience as an electrician with fire alarm tickets or fire alarm technician experience.
Key Responsibilities
As the Fire Alarm Technician your primary duties will be to;
- Inspect, test, maintain and replace electrical / electronic fire safety equipment
- Supervise & train apprentice staff when required
- Carry out any other additional electrical / electronic work
- Maintain high levels of service with customers when engaging
- Embark in further study or education when necessary to improve your skill set
- Adhere to safety standards and safely carry out all tasks to Australian Standards, Codes of Practice and Regulations.
- Forecasting and maintaining stock holdings
- Complete all necessary documentation, including quotation preparation, reports, log books, work orders & JSEAs
Skills & experience
- 5 + years' experience working as a Fire Alarm Technician or as an electrician with fire alarm tickets or experience or an apprentice fire alarm technician with 2 years in the trade
- Brilliant attention to detail skills is of high value
- You must have a hard work ethic and be able to work autonomously
- Able to work flexible hours
- Ability to work autonomously or within a team
- Have an Australian Driver's License
