Position Summary
We are currently seeking a skilled Fire Services Designer / Drafter to enhance our team in Brisbane. This role is vital in ensuring the safety and security of our clients through effective fire protection system design.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with project teams to understand client needs and project requirements.
- Create and draft fire protection systems, such as sprinkler systems, fire alarms, and suppression systems using CAD and Revit software.
- Conduct site evaluations and assessments to collect necessary data for fire safety design.
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and national fire safety codes and regulations.
- Develop comprehensive drawings, specifications, and documentation for fire protection systems.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to address inquiries and provide expert guidance.
- Remain informed about industry advancements, best practices, and new technologies in fire protection.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in designing fire protection systems for various project types, preferably with a contractor.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit for design, as well as Hyena for hydraulic calculations.
- Strong understanding of Australian fire safety codes, standards, and regulations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team setting.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving capabilities.
Benefits
- Competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 plus superannuation, based on experience.
