About the role

Reporting to the HR Manager and working as part of a small HR team, you will be responsible for overall coordination and administration of key HR processes across the employee life-cycle. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in an industrial, unionised environment and exposure to all facets of Human Resources. This role will require a motivated and resilient individual with a desire to learn and deliver.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Manage a range of HR administrative processes.
  2. Resolve a broad range of employee queries from the workforce.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS (Oracle).
  4. Provide support with recruitment processes (job posting, screening, interview scheduling, pre-employment checks).
  5. Coordinate the onboarding and offboarding of employees as per established processes.
  6. Coordinate HR initiatives/projects including engagement activities, events etc.
  7. Provide support to leaders in the management of lower-level disciplinary matters.
  8. Ensure adherence to Company policy, procedure and processes.
  9. Assist in reports and correspondence.
  10. Process HR invoices in line with procurement and finance processes.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline (desirable).

1 – 2 years' experience in a HR Administration role or similar.

Previous experience with HRIS or similar systems (desirable).

Knowledge of HR, systems, and processes.

Strong customer service focus, and an ability to build and maintain quality relationships.

Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to work autonomously and use own initiative.

Developed planning and organisational skills.

Proven ability to deliver in a fast paced and complex organisation.

Intermediate working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point).
