The role:

This exciting opportunity Facilities Manager where the prime focus and objective is to manage your assigned properties and ensure that the client's asset(s) are protected and enhanced. To operate within budget limits, authorities and procedures issued by Knight Frank, the client and the appropriate General Manager or Property Manager.

Key responsibilities:

  • Be the primary contact for technical and maintenance advice, supporting your Onsite Building Management Team and Clients
  • Day-to-day building management operations, including preventative & reactive maintenance
  • Ensuring compliance, statutory, health & safety obligations are adhered to
  • Undertake 6 monthly audits of all keys/ access cards
  • Implement the Emergency Evacuation Training and Procedures for the building
  • Procure and tender services and engage contractors under the appropriate contract format.
  • Provide recommendations to the Onsite Building Management Team & Clients to improve efficiencies on maintenance and operational issues.
  • Ensure a high level of quality control of all contractors.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the entire building, including all common areas and plant rooms
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Risk Management procedures in accordance with National and State regulations and Client's requirements

Who are we looking for?

  • Significant work experience and demonstrated success in a hard services facilities Management role within a commercial and Industrial asset.
  • Tertiary qualifications (degree or diploma) or trade qualification in electrical, mechanical engineering or plumbing desired
  • A sound understanding of all aspects of facilities management functions, including maintenance, sustainability, procurement, contractor management, budgeting, safety & compliance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A high level of financial aptitude, computer literacy, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship development skills
  • Strong organizational & coordination skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously whilst achieving deadlines
  • Knowledge of industry best practice, building codes and legislative requirements relating to facilities management
  • Excellent attention to detail, proactive approach in identifying and troubleshooting issues
