Qantas Group adopts a centralised model for the strategic and operational model of security labour and equipment services across all Qantas Group AOCs and Freight.

This role will manage the Australian Regional contracted security services.

This role will also be responsible for planning, development and implementation of assurance activities to comply with the Transport Security Program (TSP) and Qantas Integrated Management System (IMS) for whole of contract across airports and freight operations where security services are directly managed by Qantas Group Security

This role requires high level of professionalism, customer service skills, focus on compliance and security outcomes. The role will involve liaising with Qantas employees, contractors, suppliers, Airport operators, Law enforcement and Government agencies.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • 5+ years' experience in the aviation industry or safety and security role
  • 5+ years' experience in a compliance driven role
  • Contracts management
  • Projects management
  • Senior stakeholder engagement
  • Experienced Risk Management leader
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft programs
  • Be available to travel domestically for short periods
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to build constructive and effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to follow direction and able to work unsupervised to achieve optimal outcomes
  • Previous experience in Security aviation industry desirable but not essential.
