Primary objective/General overview:

  • We are currently seeking a Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager, responsible for maintaining standards of health and safety across EssilorLuxottica and its affiliated brands in order to ensure that standards of safety as identified by EssilorLuxottica and the regulators are complied with

Main responsibilities and measurements:

  • Assist with any investigations and regulator requests

  • Develop minimum health and Safety Standards for compliance across the business for all staff

Strategic Planning
**Legislation and Regulstaion

  • Monitor existing and emerging legislation and regulations on health and safety in order to ensure that EssilorLuxottica complies with their requirements.
**Risk

  • Assess and analyise the risk(s) associated with particular work schedules.

Training

  • Responsible for engaging staff in periodic training to update them on their roles in the maintence of minimum standards of Safety

Policy and Procedure

  • Ensure company policies on Health and Safety are complied with through various inspections, audits and compliance.

Emergency Response

  • Reporting to senior management the existence of an emergency and assisting in investigations.

Incident Management

  • Record of all injuries and emergencies, near misses and critical situations for appropriate review

Injury Management

  • Coordinate with all stakeholders the Worker Compensation process to ensure a suitable duties and rehabilitation are effective

Formal qualifications/certification required

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent experience in WHS

Years of experience required:

  • 5 years experience working in FMCG and multi site WHS Management
    Knowledge & Skills required:
  • Preferably Managed ANZ4801/ISO 45001
Knowledge of Injury Management and Workers Compensation
