Job Description

What you will be doing:

Ensuring the guest experience is memorable and positive through the maintenance of the hotel facilities Plan and carry out preventive maintenance throughout the hotel Manage complex projects to deliver a high standard product and service Responsible for the overall energy management and conservation of the hotel Manage the engagement of contractors within the hotel, ensuring work is to standard, to manufacturers specification, in line with legislative requirements and completed within budget and on time Routine management of fire alarms and emergency lighting Chief Warden responsibilities Assisting hotel management with emergencies and maintenance issues and incidents Prioritise and respond to daily maintenance requests to ensure the smooth running of the hotel Ensure all team members are competent in the safe and effective use of equipment and chemicals Actively participate in activities to support the Accor and Sofitel Risk Management program Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

Experience in a similar maintenance or facilities management role, within a hotel would be highly advantageous A qualified and practical engineer with understanding of all aspects of hotel maintenance, including WHS, contractor management, plant & equipment management Demonstrated ability in managing a team effectively Self-motivated, problem solver, well organised Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work according to operational requirements and demands, which may include early, late and weekend shifts Additional Information
