The Position

St John of God Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding areas. We provide 24-hour emergency, medical, surgical, diagnostic, maternity, neonatal, paediatric, palliative, intensive and coronary care services, and after hour GP services. Our 131-bed healthcare facility is operated by St John of God Health Care and provides public patient services under a public-private partnership with the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.

We currently have two positions available for a
Patient Services Officer working within our Hawkesbury District Health Service.

In this role you will be primarily involved in supporting the Patient Services Team in many roles throughout the organization and will require liaising with a large network of fellow employees and customers.

These positions will be offered on a
casual basis.

  • A minimum 1year experience preferably in a health care setting with front line administration.
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of computerised systems.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal skills ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, patients, visitors and caregivers.
  • Demonstrated time management skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and work autonomously.
  • Capacity to work effectively as part of a team
  • Friendly and tactful personality with an openminded attitude.
  • Able to handle complaints and difficult situations and the ability to problem solve.
  • Previous experience working in a hospital will be an advantage.
  • Experience in the use of a private and/or public hospital management system. (Desirable)
