We are currently searching for an inspiring leader to join our team in a parental leave cover for 12 months from early 2024.

This role is full time, with a mix of work in the office, at home and out in our 22 stores.

The primary purpose of the National Retail Manager role is to lead the Retail Bricks & Mortar Department.

You will implement and execute the Retail B&M Strategy, aligned to the Commercial Channel, which is focused on the customer experience, driving profitable outcomes whilst rigorously upholding the Assembly Label brand standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable to implement and execute the Assembly Label B&M Sales Strategy to deliver department profit targets.
  • Accountable for effective leadership and training of all retail store employees ensuring accurate brand understanding,
  • Excellent product knowledge and consistency in exceptional customer service standards, leading to the achievement of department conversion targets and an increase in customer lifetime value.
  • Accountable to lead and coach the Retail Management Team to become effective Business Managers, through timely reporting of B&M profit and loss, to ensure operational costs are managed by your team to achieve commercial profit targets.
  • Accountable to manage the Retail Dashboard to consistently review and analyse department performance, trends and KPIs to maximise location performance and opportunities.
  • Accountable to implement and execute an effective staff training and retention strategy, built upon coaching and mentorship, developing a pipeline of talent and future retail leaders. Through monthly 1:1s, half yearly development plans and performance reviews.
  • Responsible to provide department support and leadership through weekly instore presence.
  • Accountable for management of store operating standards including visual merchandising, marketing directives, store presentation and atmosphere uphold the Assembly Label brand standards.
  • Responsible for the execution of new store openings alongside the directors, ensuring recruitment and onboarding, budgets and timelines are met.
  • Responsible for communicating store feedback, timely to relevant stakeholders within the business to ensure that strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats are managed effectively.
  • Accountable for ensuring company policies and procedures are followed by all retail staff.
  • Accountable for maintaining data integrity and executing loss prevention strategies across the retail environment to achieve group shrinkage targets.
  • Responsible to lead a team culture which promotes transparency, openness, problem solving & continuous improvement.
  • Accountable to implement policies and procedures that ensure B&M environments promote and maintain a culture of workplace health and safety.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Responsible for selfdevelopment and career growth.
