Laboratory Chemist

What you will enjoy doing

• You are able provide technical support to the Laboratory and any other stakeholders, as required
• You develop and validate robust, repeatable, and feasible methods for preparation, production and analysis
• Document and periodically review laboratory operating procedures and analytical methods
• Underpin the technical competence and credibility of products and the analytical services provided
• In addition to this you are responsible for day-to-day work planning
• Deputize for the Lab Manager when required
• Manage the Laboratory equipment and consumables.

What makes you great

• You have qualification in Chemical Engineering or B Sc Degree (or Post Graduate qualification) with Chemistry as a subject.
• Extensive knowledge of analytical chemistry and demonstrate skills to Gases lab analytical instrumentation
• In addition to that you have proven experience in troubleshooting analytical assay issues and instrumentation
• Proficiency in writing documents and in preparation and implementation of training materials
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure
