Overview


The Women's and Children's Health Network provides state of the art health care for women and children in Adelaide and South Australia.


We are the state's leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions and SA's largest maternity and obstetric service.

We also provide important community-based services, of which the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is an integral part.

The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is a free community-based tertiary mental health service provided through the WCHN across South Australia, providing care to those with severe and/or complex mental health needs

CAMHS provides services to:
infants / children / young people up to in some areas) for community, statewide and hospital-based services / perinatal women.

Child Protection Services (CPS) is a specialist multi-disciplinary health service in the Women's and Children's Hospital that provides a range of comprehensive forensic and clinical psychosocial services to support children where there is a suspicion of child abuse and/or neglect; and treatment services to children and their families, where abuse and/or neglect has been confirmed.

The Opportunity


We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Child Protection Services team as a
Clinical Services Manager in a
full time capacity,
until end of June 2024.


As the
Clinical Services Manager, you will be responsible for the ongoing operational management and coordination of high standards of service delivery, ongoing development and coordination of a robust clinical governance structure and the coordination of resources both within and external to CPS to support high quality clinical practice in relation to specialist assessment and therapeutic client centred services.


The Clinical Services Manager will be integral to ongoing quality improvement initiatives and will provide high-level professional expert advice and information to the Director in relation to practice issues, policy or system changes/enhancements and to CPS staff in relation to research, teaching and other matters, in accordance with CPS/WCHN objectives.


As a member of the CPS management group you will provide valuable contribution to strategic planning processes and take a lead role in the development and implementation of organisational policies and procedures, in addition to change management.


About You
To be eligible you must have an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers or an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification and general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia and endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist


To be successful in this role, you will be recognised as a discipline expert within clinical practice related to child and adolescent mental health and child protection.

You should be an excellent communicator and have a high level of interpersonal skills, particularly in relation to liaison and negotiation with a range of internal and external stakeholders, and a sound ability to manage conflict situations and ethical matters, in a rational and constructive manner.


If you have demonstrated clinical experience in the field of child and adolescent mental health and child protection, demonstrated management and leadership experience in this or a related Allied Health or Mental Health area, then this role is for you.
