About the role


The Manager, Clinical Coding Service is accountable to the Manager, Health Information Services for the overall operational and strategic management of the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN), Clinical Coding Service.


The Manager, Clinical Coding Service ensures the provision of timely and accurate ICD-10-AM morbidity coding and that patient morbidity data meets the Department of Health's Casemix & APC data reporting guidelines.

This role is also responsible for managing the Clinical Coding staff including ongoing professional development and education opportunities, producing reports to assist in determining Casemix funding revenue, and managing audit processes.

We work closely with the Documentation Improvement team to provide ongoing advice and support to clinical staff in the development and analysis of morbidity data and Diagnostic Related Group (DRG's) initiatives.

Essential Requirements:

  • Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
  • Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description.
