The role

This is a unique opportunity within our sustainability team to be at the forefront of our efforts to ensure that sustainability is integrated into every aspect of our business.

In the role of
Sustainability Data Officer, you'll play a crucial role in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to inform our sustainability strategies and initiatives.

Initially the role will be an engine room of establishing data channels, data collation and setting up of data sets within the Sustainability team.


Based in Bowen Hills in our brand-new Headquarters, this full-time position will have you coordinate with key finance, safety, procurement, human resources, marketing, and corporate stakeholders in achieving sustainable practices and management objectives.


The day-to-day

  • Collection, initial analysis, and maintenance of data sets required leveraging software, systems, and key stakeholders across the firm to support decisionmaking priorities and track the performance of the Sustainability Strategy
  • Understanding sustainability metrics, associated strategic priorities, business needs, and data quality rules to deliver a routine data analysis to meet data and record management requirements.
  • Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to understand the raw data requirements and information received to generate reports and maintain dashboards.
  • Role data scope includes environmental, safety, people & financial data analyses and management.
  • Validation and escalation to the leadership of environmental and sustainability data anomalies and metrics outside set ranges to support ongoing delivery of sustainability targets towards Net Zero.
  • Contribution to key sustainability projects as required.

The essentials

  • Bachelor's Degree in science, finance, business or related field advantageous
  • An ability to articulate, process and analyse complex technical information into concise, wellinformed recommendations to senior leadership
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic & fastpaced environment, prioritize tasks and work well under pressure
  • Meticulous, proactive, with strong analytical & research skills.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal and communication skills
  • Intermediate/Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite platforms: Excel, PowerPoint, Word & SharePoint.
  • Power BI experience or exposure advantageous.
  • Project experience advantageous.
  • Ability to manage confidential information.
