This is a part time maternity leave contract till December 2024:


  • Working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday:

$3- 36/hr (depending on qualifications and experience) + Super + salary packaging

What you'll be doing in this role
As a Diploma Qualified Educator, you'll provide quality education and care to children to help support and facilitate their learning outcomes in accordance with the National Quality Standards and learning framework

Your care work may include:

  • Contribute to the development of programs which reflect the approved learning framework.
  • Developing positive and respectful relationships that support children, their families and community.
  • Facilitating playbased learning environments that are responsive to children's interest, strengths, and abilities.
  • Documenting children's learning through observations and assessments against learning outcomes

Who we're looking for
-
Diploma in Early Childhood Education/Children Services
(essential), with at least 2 years experience
working at a Diploma Level in an early learning service.

  • Complete pedagogical documentation including assessments of learning, transition to school statements and yearly summaries.
  • Experience working with children with learning support needs (desirable)
  • Experience using Story Park (desirable)
  • Understand the National Quality Framework and EYLF
  • Have the ability to communicate and work collaboratively with colleagues, families and community members
  • You'll be adaptable, empathetic and resourceful, and be able to live Uniting's everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.

For more than 30 years, Uniting Preschool Adamstown Heights has been a much-loved part of our local community, teaching young children the crucial skill of learning that will ease their transition to 'big school', and far beyond.

Operating during school terms our preschool has a strong focus on sustainable practices and on building positive relationships.

The team work closely with children, families and the community to give all children the opportunity to develop to their full potential.
