About the School:

Musgrave Hill State School is a boutique (one of a kind) school that does "whatever it takes" to cater for the individual differences in all learners ensuring every child succeeds.

Our Tuckshop is a dynamic, fast paced workplace focusing on the nutrition, hygienic practice and economically viable food service to the school community.

Your Role:

Provide a balanced range of nutritional food at a reasonable cost to students and staff within the school, while maintaining a high standard of hygiene in the preparation, presentation and serving of food.

You will be in charge of the day to day operation of the tuckshop and be responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the tuckshop in accordance with the policies and procedures set by Education Qld.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Drive a positive, welcoming and supportive culture within the tuckshop and wider school community.
  • Support the recruitment and management of volunteers and create a pleasant working environment for all volunteers.
  • Proven abilities to multitask and work well under pressure and to manage shifting priorities and interruptions in our Tuckshop environment.
  • Co-ordinate the daily operation of the tuckshop and oversee the preparation of food and counter services.
  • Identify stock requirements and place orders with appropriate vendors on a regular basis.
  • Deliver a quality service to students and customers through approved marketing arrangement.
  • Ensure food storage and handling is appropriate, hygienic and in accordance with standards outlined by health controlling authorities within relevant legislation and regulations.
