**About the Role**:
An exciting opportunity exists for a dedicated and professional Canteen Assistant at Pumicestone SS. The Rock's Café supplies healthy meals for students and staff. Barista coffee is also available for staff. The Rock's Cafe is managed by the Canteen Supervisor who is supported by the Business Manager and Principal at Pumicestone State School.
The successful applicant will have the following skills and qualities:

- A current Blue Card (for working with children)
- Criminal History Check
- High energy and stamina
- A passion for food in line with Smart Choices guidelines
- Previous experience working in a Canteen or kitchen will be highly regarded
- Barista trained also highly regarded
- Experience in customer service-related position will be highly regarded
- The ability to suggest and prepare new menu items
- Food safety certificate or willingness to complete course
- Sound organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Maintain a high level of personal and professional presentation at all times
- General kitchen duties, including dish-washing, laundering of tea towels, cleaning kitchen surrounds and equipment
- The duration of this position will be dependent on work demands, the availability of ongoing funding, and model allocated resources
