The primary purpose of the Logistics Officer is to support students and staff with high quality and timely logistics services, including mail distribution, print, pack and material distribution, warehousing, and inwards goods (receipt and distribution).

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Deliver effective and efficient outcomes and outputs against team and operational work plans
• Take personal responsibility and show initiative to meeting goals and objectives contributing to an inclusive team environment
• Build productive relationships with a diverse range of existing stakeholders and actively seek to maintain positive relationships
• Present information in a clear, structured, concise and tailored way by focusing on key messages and check that messages are understood and meet audience needs
• Clarify expectations and respond promptly to client requests, queries, or complaints to ensure client needs are met to agreed standards and timelines
• Provide logistics services including the receipt, storage and picking of warehoused goods
• Prepare, sort, and deliver mail and materials, including courier and prefight processing and follow up as required
• Operate equipment and use systems including shrink wrapping machines, automated mail inserter machine, print finishing equipment, electric pallet truck, freight and postal provider and mail despatch systems

To be successful, you'll have:

• Completion of a Diploma level qualifications with relevant work experience or a certificate level qualification with post

- certificate relevant work experience

• An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training (logistics, production, mail, or warehousing services)
• Basic computer literacy skills

• Drivers Licence
• A Forklift Licence *desirable
• Fit to undertake routine manual handling of weights of up to 15kg
• Working with Children Check (refer to Recruitment Procedure)
