Overview
The Education Officer is responsible for the production and promotion of education resources such as webinar presentations, storyboards, website content, screencasts and employer guides and other relevant gender equality resources.
A key part of this role will be coordinating education events, roundtables and training sessions and maintaining our community of practice groups.
Strong interpersonal skills will be required to build and maintain stakeholder relationships, with public sector organisations.Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the development and coordination of a community of practice in gender equality.
- Designing and developing new educational content and resources aligning to the broader education strategy, driving the development of content across education resources.
- Providing expertise across a broad range of topics relating to gender equality by delivering clear considered and insightful educational tools (regular and ad hoc) suitable for public dissemination.
- Evaluating, maintaining, and updating existing educational tools and resources (including online educational material presentations and screencasts).
- Monitoring relevant new and existing education and learning trends and ensuring that the Agency's education material reflects emerging trends and are based on current and valid evidence.
- Building, maintaining, and managing relationships with external stakeholders, particularly public sector organisations educators and business representatives.
- Working with crossAgency project teams to deliver the education program (internal and external).
Key Experience
- Use professional expertise to lead the production of research based educational resources.
- Create multimedia content in an education environment including understanding of software programs (e.g. Captivate, Adobe creative suite, experience with creating motion graphics, eLearning modules, webinars, slides, H5P).
- Knowledge of issues relating to workplace gender equality and related principles concepts and practices to create a diverse range of educational material.
- Critically analyse new and existing gender equality literature to ensure that the Agency's education material, insight papers and submissions reflect emerging best practice in addressing workplace gender inequality.
- Excellent communication skills including the capability to influence senior stakeholders and negotiate productive outcomes.
