This opportunity

Reporting to Senior Finance Manager Payroll, Property and Support functions you will contribute to the ongoing success of TPG Telecom by supporting the network property team through the provision of financial support and advice on all financial and commercial matters on electricity & rental costs. The role includes financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting, decision support, commercial analysis, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

Due to the dynamic nature of the business your responsibilities may change over time as the business evolves.

Responsible for month-end activities that support the accurate reporting & analysis of the business performance and underlying operational expenditure. This includes provision of commentary/analysis and insight on operational costs as well as preparation of month end packs for key stakeholders. Focus of the role is managing reporting for Network Property including Leases and associated costs including electricity. Provide finance business support to Network Property team. Governance of the purchase order process to ensure that accruals are up to date and tracked to ensure that spend is within budget estimates. Support governance of lease management process & platforms. Support the development of the annual budget, Rolling Forecast and Long-range plan for Network Property Leases and Electricity Costs. Proactive analysis of operational KPIs and drivers to track business performance with a view to identifying improvement opportunities and issues that require action. Provide insights and support initiatives on optimizing electricity costs including Electricity Hedging. Assist with the preparation of business cases for initiatives that require capital and operational resources & ad-hoc business analysis as required. Support reporting of P&L on a pre-IFRS 16 & Post IFRS16 basis. Support other initiatives related to managing sustainability targets on electricity costs.

Knowledge and experience

Able to deliver high quality and accurate insightful outputs linking to an understanding of how the business could action those outputs. Good stakeholder management at senior leadership level. Strong communication skills to effectively present ideas and influence decision making. Strong Commercial acumen demonstrating innovation and creativity. Experience in IFRS 16 accounting. Advanced Excel knowledge, including advanced financial modelling skills. Working knowledge of financial systems such as Jedox and Oracle e-business Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work under tight deadlines and conflicting priorities. Ability to operate effectively in a matrix / cross functional environment with a strong team focus.
