About the Role


At Nellie Melba Retirement Village in Wheelers Hill we have an exciting opportunity to join our experienced team as a Maintenance Person.

This is a permanent part time position working Tuesday to Friday and Saturday

In this role you will:

  • Work in a team providing the village with an effective maintenance/preventative maintenance service ensuring the safety, repair and appearance of buildings, equipment, facilities and grounds
  • Assist residents in their homes with repairs and maintenance
  • Ensure that all health and safety policies are adhered to, to ensure the safety of residents, staff and visitors
  • Work closely with and support your colleagues

About You
To thrive in our varied environment you will have:

  • Previous experience in a Maintenance role, a trade qualification or just completed an apprenticeship
  • Excellent problemsolving skills with strong attention to detail and a cando attitude
  • Proven customer service skills and ability to build rapport with residents
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • The ability to work in a team environment or autonomously as required
  • Reliable, friendly and professional manner
