Randstad Defence is looking for Explosives Ordnance Engineers to work with one of our prime defence clients, as well as to assist in project lifecycle, for either the Joint, Land, Maritime, and Aerospace Systems Divisions of CASG. The Explosive Ordnance engineer is responsible for the design, development, test and evaluation, and verification/validation and integration of Explosive Ordnance.

The roles are based in Canberra and Melbourne

The salary/contract rate is variable and will be determined by your level of competence and skill set.

Your role as an EO Engineer can include:

  • Providing Subject Matter Expertise on Explosive Ordnance to Project Managers and engineers.
  • Reviewing and updating engineering reports, trial/ test plans including interoperability and EO testing
  • Supporting explosive ordnance integration activities with the platform.
  • Drafting and reviewing engineering technical certification documentation and certification.
  • Initial planning and establishment of new weapon acquisition projects, using knowledge of CASG capability lifeCycle policies and procedures.
  • Developing project execution strategies and weapon plans.
  • Preparation of technical aspects of tender and contracts.

About you

  • A degree in Engineering (Systems/Mechanical) or similar qualification
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar field
  • Awareness of the CASG engineering processes
  • Knowledge of explosives ordnance operation and handling
  • Ability to develop systems engineering requirements for explosive ordnance
  • Be familiar with drafting engineering management plans and documents
  • Have experience in managing small teams
  • Have excellent relationship management skills

The candidate must be an Australian citizen and hold a minimum of NV1 security clearance
