About the role


CBUS Super has an exciting opportunity, shaping the way our internal employees develop and learn throughout their career with us.


In your role as Learning Manager within our People & Culture business unit, you will work closely with the Enterprise Change, Learning and OD Lead to refresh and bring to life the Cbus Learning Strategy that outlines how we develop and grow our people.

Additionally, you will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to conduct gap analysis, tailor solutions, and deliver fresh learning experiences for our employees.

You'll also oversee the evaluation and impact of learning initiatives to continuously improve the organization's learning culture.


A strong background in defining enterprise learning strategies, instructional design and a passion for fostering employee growth and development will be important for this role.


Key responsibilities


The role will require you to collaborate across the organisation and gain a deep understanding of the learning needs of our people.

You will be an SME in this space and provide advice and guidance on how to close any gaps - designing and implementing interventions as required.

You will play a significant role in designing and developing Cbus's Learning Strategy and have an overarching view of the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) framework.

You will oversee the management of our Learning & Development system (LMS) and manage vendor relationships accordingly.


The position is also a People Leader for a Learning Specialist and will lead, coach and guide the incumbent to deliver on the L&D team goals.


About you

You will be a learning 'all-rounder':

  • Demonstrated experience in instructional design methods e.g. ADDIE
  • Demonstrated experience in developing online learning through authoring tools such as Articulate and Rise
  • Demonstrated expertise in delivery of development programs of work at an enterprise or large team level
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and / or delivering activities required to bring organisational learning strategy to life

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of contemporary learning and development theory, practice, and adult learning principles
  • Written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to collate and clearly convey information to others
  • Ability to manage expectations and competing demands to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Influencing and collaboration skills with demonstrated capacity to manage stakeholders
  • Ability to plan and schedule priorities, manage strict deadlines, and adapt to changing situations
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills including the ability to influence at a senior management level
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
