Assistant Project Manager - Katherine NT

RPS is seeking a qualified and experienced client-side Assistant Project Manager to join our Northern Territory team in Katherine on a full-time permanent basis working on an exciting $1.5 billion major Defence project at RAAF Base Tindal over the next five years.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Australian citizenship and holding or be able to successfully obtain and retain a minimum Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance is mandatory.
  • A tertiary qualification in Construction, Architectural, Engineering, or similar is desirable.
  • Experience/exposure with a range of delivery methodologies, in particular, Head Contract, Managing Contractor and Design and Construct is advantageous;
  • Previous experience across Defence, including Defence writing skills;
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a timely manner;
  • Proactive and able to think strategically;
  • Australian Citizen and able to successfully obtain and maintain a minimum Baseline Security Clearance.
  • Ability to provide evidence to confirm vaccination status for COVID-19 to meet our client's vaccination requirements in accordance with government regulations.
  • 1+ years client-side PM or a PMCA experience in the industries as mentioned above and familiarity with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (would be preferable, but not essential)
  • AIPM Accreditation or equivalent would be advantageous.
