About the Position

CrowdStrike is searching for highly motivated, self-driven, Cyber Security Senior Analysts who are committed to making a global impact on security by safeguarding organizations against the most sophisticated attackers worldwide. Our virtual security operations center at CrowdStrike provides opportunities to enhance your skill set through a diverse range of experiences, identifying and responding to incidents in real-time for our clients.

    The shifts consist of daytime hours, spanning either Mon to Fri, Wed to Sat, or Sun to Wed for a 38-hour work week. Shifts that include weekends are 4-day work weeks with slightly longer hours per day compared to the standard 5-day week. Changes to shifts may be considered based on operational needs.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Implement incident handling procedures across Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.
  • Conduct basic malware analysis.
  • Develop and enhance processes for incident detection and the implementation of countermeasures.
  • Deliver high-quality written and verbal communications, recommendations, and findings to customer management.
  • Showcase industry leadership through blog posts, CrowdCasts, and other speaking engagements.
  • Oversee internal programs or teams.
  • Guide and assist in the growth of junior analysts.

Successful candidates should have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Working in a SOC, Malware Analysis, or IR setting
  • Incident Handling: involvement in conducting or overseeing incident response for organizations, investigating targeted threats like the Advanced Persistent Threat, Organized Crime, and Hacktivists.
  • Computer Forensic Analysis: experience utilizing various forensic analysis tools in incident response investigations to determine the extent and scope of breaches.
  • Systems Administration: a grasp of system internals is necessary to understand how to execute countermeasures and remediation effectively.
  • Network Forensic Analysis: familiarity with network protocols, tools for network analysis, and the ability to analyze related network logs.
  • Malware Analysis: skill in conducting static and dynamic malware analysis to comprehend the characteristics of malware.
  • Incident Remediation: solid understanding of targeted attacks and the ability to develop tailored tactical and strategic remediation plans for affected organizations.
  • Network Operations and Architecture/Engineering: solid knowledge of secure network architecture and a strong background in network operations.
  • Programming/Scripting: proficiency in coding in C, C#, VB, Python, Perl, Ruby on Rails, and .NET. Candidates with hands-on experience in Python, particularly for efficiency initiatives or in a Cyber Security context, are encouraged to apply. Applicants who have completed SEC573 and SEC673 are also strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Emerging and Innovative Technologies: understanding of the applications and benefits of Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning in the cybersecurity realm.
  • Previous experience with CrowdStrike Falcon is a bonus

Furthermore, all candidates must possess the following qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Capacity to manage high-pressure situations in an effective and professional manner
  • Ability to complete technical tasks independently.
  • Excellent time management skills with the capacity for multitasking
  • Familiarity with Mac OS, Windows, and Unix operating systems
  • Eagerness to develop and enhance both technical and soft skills.
  • A keen interest in Cyber Security
  • Ability to promote a positive work environment and attitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to audiences with varying technical knowledge (applicants with Japanese language skills are highly encouraged to apply)
  • Solid project management abilities
  • Experience in instructing and guiding junior analysts
  • Active contributor and leader in the cybersecurity industry
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related fields of study; or equivalent work background.
