Ready to lead with precision and professionalism? Become a vital part of our team as a Payroll Team Leader at Kmart in this 14 month fixed term role. Here, you'll be at the forefront of delivering outstanding payroll administration services throughout our organisation. As a pivotal team member, you'll uphold accuracy and efficiency in handling monthly pay runs, data entry, and Superannuation queries, all while being the main point of contact for stores and DXC (outsourced payroll provider). Your role will also involve resolving issues, conducting audit reviews, ensuring compliance, and promoting a safe work environment through best practices implementation.

In this Role You Will:

Manage the pay run process, from setup to finalisation, including timely file submissions and error resolution.

Oversee weekly, monthly, and quarterly compliance reports, promptly identifying and addressing any issues.

Provide support for external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Generate daily reports, investigate queries, and proactively identify system updates and improvements.

Support team members in day-to-day activities to uphold payroll accuracy and timeliness.

Facilitate communication with the business and team members regarding public holidays and related matters.

Ensure day-to-day payroll management is consistently compliant and on track.

To Be Successful in This Role You Will Have:

5+ years of experience in a previous payroll role within a large organization, demonstrating strong numerical and administrative skills.

Proficiency in Success Factors and a keen understanding of payroll systems.

A collaborative mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction and team cohesion.

Dedication to compliance and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively multitasking and prioritizing tasks.

Exceptional organizational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines.

In-depth knowledge of employment and tax legislation, ensuring legal compliance in all payroll activities.
