About the Role:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Provide high level strategic advice on policy, operational, governance and communication matters to ensure the delivery of culturally sound, evidence based First Nations programs and partnerships.
  • Liaise with staff in other divisions, departments and external stakeholders in order to brief senior regional officers on emergent and critical issues that may require sensitive management and/or immediate attention of culturally secure programs and initiatives.
  • Lead the development of genuine partnerships with key stakeholders, clients, parents and or carers, committees and working groups to support First Nations students to thrive.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in enhancing the benefits of engagement and holistic wellbeing in Education to improve outcomes for students and families.

Mandatory Requirements for and Identified Role:

It is a genuine occupational requirement for Identified roles that the position be filled by an Aboriginal person or a Torres Strait Islander person as set out in Section 7 of the Anti Discrimination Act 1991 for the purposes contained in Section 25 of that Act.
