You will be integral in building up our DevOps capability which is instrumental and running our program You will have the opportunity to work across multiple teams working on one of our major projects within the business.

Your role will be key to make our processes more efficient and drive changes across our Australia and UK operations building on the future requirements of the program.

Our core platform and services enable our Product Development Teams to deliver secure software, by continuously deploying software releases for our customers.

Our DevOps engineers are responsible for the availability, performance, change management, monitoring, emergency response and capacity planning of our core platform and services.

This is a role where you can make a difference, bring your wealth of experience and drive positive outcomes to enhance our function.


What you'll be doing:

  • Improve our Platform to make Product Teams autonomous and independent by developing and improving the DevOps platform
  • Perform hands on automation tasks to treat infrastructure as code.
  • Participate in code and design reviews.
  • Provide execution of activities related to infrastructure, security, continuous integration, continuous deployment, IT operations and metrics.
  • Work with other engineers in the execution of uplifts across build engineering, release engineering, configuration management and environment management practices including onpremise, hosted and Cloud.

Desired Skills and Experience

Do you have what it takes? You'll need:

  • Proven experience with build and development tools e.g. Git, Packer, Terraform and Jenkins
  • Experience with containerization technology including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience using automation tools for release management
  • Experience with Bash/PowerShell scripting
  • At least 5 years' experience with AWS
  • Experience programming in at least one of the following languages: Java, Go or Python.
  • Experience with algorithms and data structures.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in computer science or related field.
