Consultant General Paediatrician - Paediatric Exome clinic, Monash Children's Hospital, Clayton
A Consultant Paediatrician with genetic experience is required for a weekly clinic assessing children being considered for genetic testing.

They will work alongside a genetic counsellor and in consultation with a geneticist to make recommendations and counsel families about such testing.

The applicant will supervise and train other general paediatricians in these skills to enable them to undertake such counselling and refer for testing themselves to enhance expedient patient care.


Hours:
Thursdays - 7.6 hours per week (0.2EFT)

The initial appointment is for 15 months starting March 2024 to June 30th 2025.

What you need:

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Appropriate health professional tertiary qualifications
  • Working with Children's Certificate
