- Manage the efficient implementation of Part 6 of the State Development & Public Works Organisation Act 1971 (SDPWO Act) as it relates to SDAs.
- Prepare and contribute to policy papers, briefs, reports, speeches, cabinet submissions and other materials relevant to implementation of statutory processes under Part 6 of the SDPWO Act.
- Provide high level strategic and policy advice on industrial land analysis, planning, development assessment, policy and development priorities which support economic development of the State.
- Establish and maintain effective and positive relationships across other areas of the OCG, the department, across government, and with a range of stakeholders, including the public and landholders.
- Liaise and negotiate with other government agencies, community groups and the private sector on a range of strategic planning and development assessment matters.
- Advise private and government proponents on approvals pathways and consider project viability for development in SDAs.
- Advise the public and private sector on the statutory processes under the SDPWO Act relevant to SDAs and other project facilitation powers as necessary.
- Lead and oversee senior project staff and/or multidisciplinary teams as required in relation to research, analysis and interpretation of complex issues and opportunities relating to industrial land, economic development, development assessment and innovative tenure solutions.
- Prepare and negotiate consultancy agreements, and supervise and manage consultants on major economic, engineering, environmental, planning and regional development studies.
- Provide critical analysis of reports and submissions on strategic planning and infrastructure matters that may impact directly or indirectly on the State's economic development.
- Lead the development of people and process improvements to ensure the efficient delivery of business priorities.
- Assist the Director with management of the division through fostering a team environment that values performance, excellent customer and client service, a shared purpose and strong team culture, continuous improvement and innovation to support the delivery of highquality outcomes.
