The Named NSW (Non-Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations' Health Employees Agreement Tresillian is currently recruiting for a dynamic hands-on Finance Director to join the Tresillian team.

The Finance Director plays a key senior leadership role in managing budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insight and supporting decision making and driving continuous improvement in business performance.

The position will lead and manage day to day operations of the finance team whilst implementing and improving accounting and reporting systems and processes.

The Royal Society for the Welfare of Mothers and Babies, trading as Tresillian, was formed in 1918 to coordinate early child and maternal health care services in New South Wales (NSW).

Tresillian is now the largest early child and family health and parenting service in Australia, operating from four sites in metropolitan Sydney and numerous regional and rural sites supporting service provision to families across NSW, Victoria and ACT.

Tresillian is a Certified Child Safe Leader and is dedicated to creating a workplace environment where children's rights are recognised and championed.

Tresillian provides local and state-wide services including: health and parenting assessments; parenting advice; education; and, support to families via a range of service delivery models including centre based day programs, home visiting, telephone, internet and residential services.

In addition, Tresillian provides education, training and consultancy across a range of sectors including within the health care service and higher education.

For further information on Tresillian, please visit our website Selection Criteria – Applicants must address the Selection Criteria Tertiary Qualifications in Accountancy, including current professional membership of the Certified Practicing Accountants of Australia (CPAA) or equivalent.

Extensive experience as a qualified accountant working in roles such as Finance Manager, Business Manager or equivalent, preferably in both commercial and not-for-profit organisations.

Demonstrated experience in budget management, financial management and development and implementation of financial management policy, systems and controls.
Experience in or knowledge of not-for-profit accounting requirements, including fund and grant accounting, acquittals, compliance and reporting.
Demonstrated ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets and cash flow.

Effective negotiation and communication skills (written and verbal) with all stakeholders, including the Board Directors, Executive, Management team, Peers, Government Departments and external parties.

Demonstrated experience in the oversight and management of payroll system functions.
Demonstrated leadership and effective interpersonal skills, capacity to lead, build organizational capacity and responsiveness.
Current NSW driver's license.
