The Role

  • The IFL Security Division has been entrusted with the crucial task of formulating and implementing a comprehensive cyber security strategy. Their primary responsibility is to safeguard the organisation from potential security threats and risks, covering all aspects of people, processes, and information systems. Their objective is to ensure the preservation of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of key business services. Furthermore, the division is committed to operating within the risk appetite and policies established by the organisation and its regulatory bodies, thereby guaranteeing a secure environment.
  • In the role of Technical Security Analyst, you will be responsible for performing various security operations activities. These can include, but are not limited to, security scanning and monitoring, cloud security across AWS, GCP and Azure, incident response management, vulnerability management and coordinate penetration testing. Experience across a number of these areas will contribute to the overall security posture of the organisation and ensure a prompt and effective response to security incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse systems, security controls, and event logs to detect nefarious activity
  • Collaborate with team engineers and architects to ensure security of new projects
  • Review security controls to ensure they are working appropriately
  • Assist with security incident management and investigations
  • Assist with managing security operations platforms, ensuring they are uptodate and fully functional
  • Assist with generating valuable insights and reports for management purposes
  • Build documentation of existing processes and exceptions based on security reviews and audit findings
  • Have experience working with security scanning and monitoring, cloud security reviews, assist with security logs and reporting

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • An industry-recognised security certification such as CISSP, CompTIA Security certification, SSCP, (ISC)2 CCSP, or an equivalent certification
  • Proven experience in a relevant IT or security area
  • Demonstrated experience in working with security platforms, setting up security criteria for scans and monitoring requirements, assist in incident response and vulnerability management process
  • Proficiency in various security operation activities and possess a good work ethic to drive desired outcomes
  • Strong prioritisation and time management skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective stakeholder management skills
