We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Operations Coordinator at Jandakot, on a Full-Time Permanent basis.

About this role


As the Supply Chain Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the increasing of value by improving safety, service, quality and compliance whilst reducing risks and costs across Western Powers logistics network.

Responsible for logistics support functions primarily in relation to management of third-party logistics contractor.

Role will involve the management and coordination of material sales orders from external customers to enable accurate and timely supply in accordance with Western Power policy and the terms and conditions of external sales.

This includes but is not limited to developing and delivering processes & systems that drive efficiency & improvements across all areas of sales, inventory management, logistics, transport and safety.


Contract management skills and aptitude to ensure Logistics Suppliers are performing in line with contract requirements achieved through validation and preparation of monthly reporting against KPI's.


  • Responsible for internal / external logistics queries and ability to provide customer focused solutions taking into account time and costs.
  • Build and maintaining relationships with our customers to achieve excellent customer service levels in voice of the customer surveys.
  • Manage and resolve any issues pertaining to the materials sales process to enable reliable and consistent service to customers.
  • Manage all external communication channels on behalf of the supply chain to external customers, including newsletters, online medium and adhoc contact
  • Supports Logistics Management to ensure logistics service companies comply with all prevailing regulatory, environmental and statutory requirements.
  • Contract management of Tier 3 & 4 contracts including supplier performance management, disputes, validation of costs and adherence to Western Powers Contract Management Framework.
  • Lead depot improvement programs (5S) via the health check program to deliver continuous improvement and cost reductions.
  • Manage scrap, refurbishment of materials and returns from all Western Power Depots to ensure compliance to relevant statutory obligations and cost reduction programs.
  • Ongoing education of customer base and stores management to ensure adherence to policies, safety, systems and work procedures
  • Analyse and identify gaps in business adherence to the Materials Management Requisition guidelines and work constructively with stakeholders to improve compliance.
  • Manage the weekly validation and tracking of 3PL invoiced costs against budget.
  • Assist in master data management through timely and accurate system updates, warehouse transfer reviews, stock holding reviews, customer demand verification and all applicable reporting requirements.
  • Actively contribute to and support the Safety, Health and Environment programs and legislative obligations.
  • Accountable for compliance to all required policies and procedures including all internal and external audit requirements.

About you
We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

  • Relevant tertiary or Diploma level qualifications in a related discipline and or studying towards with relevant industry.
  • Minimum 3 + years demonstrated experience in Inventory & Supply Chain Controls or in a similar operational / logístical environment
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders
  • Proven ability to work within a team environment and being customer focused
  • Prioritisation and organisational skills
  • Best practice experience in the areas of materials handling and distribution
  • Exposure to contract management and 3PL service providers
